I assume having done all of the above for SoT and Descenders but they haven’t u locked, that I won’t have to do them again later I can just keep clicking on the rewards page waiting for them to show completed?

@FraserG Yeah I was trying to do the latest one for Ori and wouldn’t register but didn’t actually play any of the game until it would.

The SoT and Descenders ones here are pretty short though if I needed to do them again though. The weekly task for starting 3 games didn’t work but I got 3+ achievements playing Descenders for 30mins.

SoT has unlocked, still awaiting Descenders but actually enjoying the challenge trying to get through all 4 maps haha

Anyone else having a problem getting the daily play any game quest to work?

Anyone else having issues with Descenders one not working? Maybe I'm doing something wrong...

EDIT: I have now completed, I found with mine the only way was by creating a new session, didn't appear to be working by joining overs.

@FraserG have you guys seen the new Gears 5 rewards? Luckily I’ve still not played through the game so can just play an online multiplayer game and get an easy achievement there to add to watching the trailer and a Mixer stream.

There’s another easy one for creating a map but I’ve done that previously for another Gears reward.

I found the F1 a lot quicker than 60-90mins, Bahrain for example doing under 1:30min laps is only 30mins. It’s also a good track as you can go wide/off track and not get stuck in gravel.

Already downloaded Batman so gonna see what I can get there if no update before it pops I’ll post another reply. Also downloading Alien with Halo queued.

Started a new game, beat up 20 people around the ground in the city. Taken 15mins since I posted last comment.

Gears to add to the above the 2v2 Gnashes you can add a 2nd or 3rd controller and change it to Beginner (although the game seems hard for me still). I did this for a previous reward though.

For the 3 achievements here I started with Arcade Blitz in the same way, it’s 5v5 with me on one side and controller 2 on theirs. I went straight for the ‘flag’ to defend and shot a few with lancer and finished top scorer and earned ‘Ring Leader’ achievement. Thought that was really easy personally. Maybe you could just eliminate controller 2 over and over to earn it???

Free for all you can do 1v1 with two controllers. And again Gridiron with 2nd controller is 5v5 a bit easier but I’d already played it online. So I’ve gotten ‘Sampler’ achievement. I assume if this game is needed again I’ll use Gridiron with 2nd controller for a Touchdown.

You only need to play each mode not win anyway, plus when choosing a character I couldn’t see those mentioned, they’re names I recognise from earlier Gears and this one is their kids so may be a link or maybe unlockable?

I also did Alien as above which worked, open first door to start the clock then turn and hide in the small room. After 20mins I took one look and saw it wandering around so went looking for it only to be stabbed from behind by its tail after about 2mins haha

Gonna try your Hunter walkthrough now while Halo downloads as I had no space and it hadn’t downloaded earlier.

I’ve done the Hunter one, it gave me a few different achievements on different occasions which while reading the page I was on wouldn’t please some people but reward completed. Long one and I’ll quote those who shared it. Maybe wait and do it on a separate day as there’s a 50pt reward daily for getting an achievement.

Hey everyone,

Here is a relatively easy way to do the Xbox Game Pass monthly quest for theHunter: Call of the Wild. The quest asks you to "gain 5,000 in the total harvest score." Using my method, this should take you about 12.5 runs or 45 minutes or so to complete.

The text description of the method is below:

1) Start the game. If you have played before, choose New Game from the main menu. If not, your only option is to select New Game.
2) Select the Layton Lake District (default map) and hit Start Game.
3) Once you spawn in, immediately hit LB to put away your phone and bring out your rifle. You're going to turn completely around and face the water behind you.
4) Begin walking to your left (east on the compass) until you approach a shallow water inlet.
5) Cross the water to get to the land on the other side.
Note: You can run before this by pressing in on the left stick, but I would refrain from doing so from this point on. Running elevates your heart rate and makes it harder to hit your shots.
6) Follow the shoreline as you walk around looking out at the water. Listen and look for any ducks that might start flying to the water.
7) If you are slow and quiet, you should start to see ducks land off to your right. If not, keep following the shoreline and look out straight across the water. Scope in with the LT to aim and hit UP on the D-pad to zoom in.
8) Once you have a target, hold in on the left stick to steady your aim and take your shot.
9) If you hit the duck, simply wait for the duck to float over to you. You get progress for the quest only by collecting your kill. This might take a bit depending on how far away the duck was when you killed it.
-If you miss the duck, try to hit one as it flies away. This is surprisingly easier than it sounds.

If you miss all ducks, either restart the level or keep walking around the shoreline and focus on the water in the distance. The ducks tend to keep landing in the water if you're facing east, but they might be really far away.

10) Once you've gotten your XP for the kill, hit Start, scroll down to System, and then Exit to Main Menu.
11) Back in the menu, select New Game and repeat the process over again from the start.

Other Notes:
-The deer that is positioned directly in front of you when you start the level does not give you progress towards the quest for some reason.
-I disabled Mission System under Settings->Game but I'm not sure this matters.
-You will likely unlock multiple achievements as you work on this quest.

Has anyone done Monster Hunter reward? I’ve played enough of the game and went to the board which had a few options but I wasn’t able to join any and same again a few hours later having played the game most of today.

‘You have not met the requirements for this quest’

Found something on Reddit that says you can start a quest, then once someone joins set off a flare and ask them to join your quest. It’s another long write up and comments afterwards say you could still complete the big 1000 monthly reward without 1 or two of these weekly rewards.

Basically the issue also mentioned is everyone trying to do this reward wants to join a quest, not be host. Great if you have a mate wanting to do it.

For F1 2018, "Complete 20 laps," Time trial is absolutely the way to go. But choose Japan Short as your track as each lap is about 70 seconds. If you don't care about this game or racing at all, this track is pretty short, so I finished this quest in about 20 minutes. It felt so good to delete this 41 GB after scoring this quest.

Can't get the Gears 5 punchcard to pop.
I was able to do the other one with the 3 achievements no problem, but the punchcard "Any achievement in Gears" isn't registering.

I thought it would be like the Sea of Thieves one, where it popped two whole days after completing it, but it's been weeks.

@SubG do you mean the separate one that also asks to watch the trailer and Mixer? There’s a common bug with some of the rewards and it can take between 1 second and 3 days I’ve found in the past. Annoying when it’s not instant.

If you’ve done the 3 achievements in Gears while this separate one is going it’ll pop at some point without having to get another achievement.

I never had the game before, so all achievements are new for me.
The punch card came out first, and I did everything required for the punch card a day or so after it came out. To this day it still hasn't popped(by that I mean, only the earning an achievement part. The Mixer and other thing worked just fine), however, the separate quest to earn 3 achievements popped immediately after it was released and I unlocked 3 new achievements. I went on to unlock more achievements, but that didn't effect the punchcard.

I went through the entire campaign, and got some multiplayer achievements, and still nada.

There's only a few days left, so I doubt whatever is wrong with it will be fixed by the time it expires. shrugs

All I can suggest is to report it, I did that for Ori about a month ago but due to Covid-19 it had fixed when they replied after a couple of days.

In other news, my rewards have disappeared before managing to complete the 1000pt monthly reward. There’s a new 500pts easy to get just clicking to view offers.

Just got two daily rewards for opening a game and the mobile app and found the main page from there but it’s not showing on the main screen where it has the Gears reward and the weekly.

EDIT: Also found that if you go to the bottom of the rewards page and click on ‘Xbox Activities’ with the pic of the Xbox and Controller it’ll open up. No idea why it’s not at the top, not even in ‘Show All’.

Not long left but I’ve just completed the Monster Hunter reward, was quite a few SOS on the Quest Board all early quests you may have already done alone killing Jaguars.

Spot on again with Mud Runner, I went back and forth there and to the right of that picture, the road turns into a bit of a swamp so getting off it left or right there are mushrooms about.

Worms I beat someone online who was hopeless at the game shooting himself a lot haha

NBA has taken me 2.5hrs plus a lengthy download over night. I really hope that in the very opening game you can get 10 assists as I only managed 9 and what followed was very annoying!

The season start was hours into the game where eventually I got my 10th assist!

To start I created my player adding as much as I could to Playmaking stats. In the opening game I got 9 assists, then got subbed 2nd period. There’s a good 50+ cuts scenes, multiple training games 5v5, 3v3, 2v2, multiple training sessions such as weightlifting and jumping, and clicked continue in the menus 20 times.

I scored numerous assists within the training matches and none of these seem to count toward the total.

I really hope someone else finds a faster way, or maybe gets the 10 assists in the very first game.

I also gained no achievements throughout this process.

Only positive I took from the whole experience is that my coach was the spitting double of Idris Elba.

Forza... for anyone who has played the game a lot in the past. I’d already found every board and road etc.

I was downloading some of the new cars and all the bonus credits I’d gained, and I went into the Car Mastery section and had 130+ points to allocate. From there I was adding loads to skill scores and at the top there was one for ‘Get an instant 10k Skill Influence’. This popped the reward.

For Battle Chasers, just play the game, skipping any cutscenes, fighting every enemy on the map, and right after you get the key to the North Gate and head north, you'll come to an intersection(dungeon) that you can explore. Do it (it'll save you unnecessary fights). You'll be ambushed by the only enemy once you start heading uphill. He's a heavy hitter, but it's not a tough fight by any means. After KO'ing him, it popped for me.

Silent video but this just appeared for Sly the Spire, basically played through the game moving up 15 in game levels. I’ve skipped through it a bit so need to re-watch it to work out how to play the game, assume settings on easy etc will help

Took me a few goes to get Decenders to click, but overall everything so far this month has been pretty easy.

I need another weekly (should be more out today) and some daily’s to get the 1k

Possibly a stupid question but would these unlock if I own the game? Like say if I own the Minecraft dungeons physical or digital would I still be able to get them or would I have to download it via gamepass?

@FraserG I have a gamepass code that came with my Xbox one but I’ve been waiting for the right time to activate it ( when I got more time to get stuck into it) I’ll have to give it a try

As above, I think you need to have a subscription already. I do a lot of Bing searches on mobile and Xbox, click all the different links for news stories and places to visit on mobile and all the vids and links on Xbox. I tend to earn a months Game Pass plus spare change from just this, especially the weekly 3 challenges on Xbox and if you keep up a streak as I’m getting 2500pts every 5 weeks now currently on my 29th week in a row so bonus next week

PS. I did the Costume Quest reward then as the clown I pressed the horn 1000 times for an easy achievement for the weekly challenge to get an achievement and also the daily 50pts.

Can we see more video guides on some of these?

I knew Streets of Rage would pop up one day so I made sure not to complete it, still gotta do 3 full run through for this months reward though haha

EDIT: Only need to go through twice as I left the secret Call The Police achievement but need SOR1 and SOR3

I’ve just noticed you didn’t have the Streets review, if you load up the Story and select Easy, then play through the game you’ll get a few really quickly.

If you get a taser, you can taser an arcade machine and go to an old level

By this point a few levels into it on easy might take up to 30mins, a lot quicker if you can do the first couple of achievements in first 10mins.

Is anyone else finding the Independence Pack isn’t there on State of Decay?

Few things when I go to start...
I get a choice of 4 pairs to play with while in the video they choose 3 people.
My game opens at a refugee camp and they start right next to a vehicle.
Finally I have Skills and Inventory when pressing D-Pad down, they have a third option for Independence Pack

EDIT: My kills are going up from a mix of Campaign and Horde just takes a little longer.

Awesome article, I am currently doing some research into Game Pass quests, and was wondering if you could send me the Difficulty Rating, Time to Complete, Rewards Points for the various quests in the past few weeks/months if possible?

Tip: We had to restart our console four times to finally get all the shots to track. Ugh!

This is getting sooo annoying! Taken me a couple of days to get the 100 shots on Gonner but it’s not a bad little game.

The new Gears of War punch card is doing the same thing and not activating 😡

Was looking forward to a bit of Red Dead but it’s just loading it up.

As for Cluster Truck, I’ve no idea what I was doing but simply load up campaign and press play. Don’t touch a single button and let the truck drive itself to level 6. On level 6 I came up to a massive pile up and kept failing so re-did level 5 and got the 5000 style points.

EDIT: I’ve just clicked on you’re standing on top of the truck haha, either way I didn’t fall off it until the pile up on Level 6 which I’ve now completed haha

@FraserG I made it to level 10 for an achievement in a game pass game then gave up haha

I assume Fallout can be done once the game is ready as it’s a massive download. I’ve set all the games to download over night but will see if they’re done or not tomorrow.

Bard's tale is easy, all you need to do is load the game, choose difficulty and pick attributes and talent. Play through the game and you'll unlock 2 achievements almost straight off the bat 'Thunder Spider Tune' and 'Rodents Bane's. Took about 5-10 mins.

A bit disappointed.... I can’t do the Bards Tale Quest because I already got every single achievement for that game a couple weeks ago... or is there a way around cases like this?

There’s no way around that I’m afraid, I’ve had similar issues such as them choosing Gears 5 again but managed to convince a mate to do some co-op

I'm trying this out to see what games i discover as a result. We happy few looks pretty good.

I hate starting a game and having 1 achievement on it knowing I'm never going to play it again

Pro tip for everybody:

For any of the quests where you just have to open the game, xCloud/Streaming satisfies the requirements.

I really didn't want to download all of Sea of Thieves just to open it once, but pulled out the phone and got the points in seconds 😎👍

@xDani-D I agree, it would be really helpful to know if you can complete the quest without unlocking any achievements.

Hey so o just tried out the cloud streaming (crazy how good it works) and I've noticed that it doesn't count towards the quests? Is this an error or do i have to play on PC or console to complete them?

Update i did get credit for playing it on the cloud, it just took a while to recognize it. This is fantastic because now you don't even have to download the games for the quests. If you like them add it to your list and if not take your points and go.

Mount and Blade awful game! So glad it didn’t take too long although did take me about 30mins as it wouldn’t setup a 1v1 always 2v1 and controls on horseback annoying so I just did it on foot.

Somewhat related question: how is Wasteland 3 on console? The idea of playing it on xCloud is a huge plus for me, but not sure if I'm denying myself the best experience by not playing it on my PC. At same time, I currently spend all day sat at the same desk and so being able to lounge on the sofa with my phone would be fab.

@FraserG Are there any other pages for other rewards? Just curious how people found the 10k reward challenge as I struggled having already completed a lot of the easy games off Game Pass but managed to reach a respectable 7500. Just like this page most of the games weren’t great, but I enjoyed completing a previous weekly reward game Carrion

Could be worth noting that Dark Pictures reward can be earned as soon as it’s ready to start rather than downloading it all.

Hello kind people, I am very much in need of help.
I am currently working on the Quest Completionist Monthly Quest : Expires 11/2/2020. Goal = Complete 45 daily quests this month - 45/45
Complete 15 weekly quests this month - 14/15
!!!!!!!!!!!!
But how am I supposed to get a 15/15 when I have completed all of the quests that I have gotten so far this month and I only have 14 out of the required 15?!? Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get this done before the expiration date of this Quest? 11/2/2020 = next Monday please help me

Last month was first 1K quest completion! Looking forward to racking up them points for some random games. Gamepass time will be future gifts for me.

@Marcspacey hey you get 4 weeks of 5 Weekly quests...if you miss the window you miss the window. I just managed to bag my first 1K quest last month so get er done this month. I find a few of the weekly quests don't work on PC so i just got 15/15 myself. Hopefully with a system next week it's an issue of the past for me

On Dirt once the game is available to play (Xbox) you can use the free roam area to race around freely or do some of the tutorials before it even finished downloading.

Jackbox isn’t that bad once you work out what you’re doing haha, this was the one achievement I didn’t manage to get during the 10k gamerscore reward period.

However I’ve done it now, and as above you do get an achievement for one of them and considering you need 5 it’s unavoidable.

Basically open the 4 tabs (I used Chrime and SessionBox) and just call each P1, P2, P3, P4, and then for the answers use A1 A2, B1 B2, C1 C2, D1 D2 (or similar).
Then when it asks you to predict remember the answers you pick (each time for me 2 players picked the same answer and the other two different so only had 3 answers to remember). Then the next part is a 1v1 vote and just make sure you don’t pick any answer you’re remembering.

In all my play throughs it never put them against each other so I was always able to pick the other answer so my 4 players all lost.

Taken me a good hour to two hours but been watching TV same time.

Achievement just for starting Resident Evil when the first cut scene ends. Doesn’t bother me as that gets me my 50pts for the day but seems to bother others 😀

Easy one with Hyperdot

Escapist 2 I got an achievement but was very easy and took about 5mins. I started a new game on Centre Parks, then when you can leave your cell I followed the crowd for a roll call line up but I attacked a guard and was taken to the infirmary. When you can move again I attacked another guard and got ‘Dr Love’ achievement for a hunky doctor picking me up, and a third time I attacked a guard and ran away and as the alarms ring the reward popped.

Gears of War Tactics has also now appeared as a monthly reward to get an achievement. I planned to play this anyway and started up a new Jacked game. Theres some easy achievements to get...

Kill someone with the chainsaw - After a few moves the chainsaw appears and you can select it as a weapon, then move the pointer (your character) next to the enemy, and press X and it’ll move your player over and chainsaw the enemy.

Kill 10 enemies
Kill an enemy and one behind with a single burst of bullets
Complete a mission without anyone dying
Down one of your own team

Ah of course, I was lucky to have an early click and collect and most of my bigger games I downloaded while working and gonna do some more through the night and tomorrow.

I tried attacking the guards for the lockdown in Escapists but couldn’t get the quest to pop that way. Thanks to True Achievements, I found that you can get it by just lying in bed until 9am when you’ll have missed roll call. If you don’t want an achievement to pop you’ll have to quit before the dogs get to you though.

@FraserG not sure if you’ve noticed Gears Tactics was also added to the monthly rewards to get an achievement. I’d say the quickest was that you get a kill (maybe two) from shooting then you unlock chainsaw and can run up and kill someone else with that to pop the reward.

I’ve uninstalled it now, it’s not as good as the normal game IMO.

Getting my second 1K quest completed today, just need one more daily quest. Side note what do people use their points on? I'll have 11K after today and I'm just saving them for now until i eventually want to buy a game. I'm not even sure how much my points would be worth actually...gona look that up.

I used to get the 3 months of Game Pass with my points, and because I do a lot on Xbox and Mobile I could usually get 3 months worth every 2 months.

However I got Game Pass as part of my new Xbox deal so now I’m using reward points on just games and also bought a Play and Charge kit off the store.

@unionjackboy wow how do you get so many points in two months? I do almost all the quests each month as per this thread but that's like 2-2.5K points per month max...I need almost 13K for one month of gamepass ultimate. I just noticed that i can get 50 points each day fir getting an achievement but are there other quests I'm missing?

Hope this link work, you get 3pts per Bing mobile search and 60pts per day. Basically just open Bing and click all the news articles or search A, B, C, or sometimes I find one of the links down the page like today is ‘Disney Fan’ and you just click on 20 actors and that’ll get you the 20 searches for 60pts.

As just said there’s a few more links to click down the page worth 10pts each and some quizzes etc worth 30-50pts.

And finally the three near the top are daily bonuses that get bigger if you get a streak of days completing/clicking them.

Then on Xbox as well as the rewards listed on this page, there’s also a few on main screen just opening and closing the odd game clip for 5pts, and there’s web searches worth up to 90pts same as on the mobile app just opens Edge and Home Screen might be a picture of a Bird so click the link bottom right and you’ll get a link to another 20/30 birds so there’s all your 90pts of searches.

Then I might buy the odd new game, like the new COD earns you 6k.

EDIT: Also I’ve just gotten my 50 week streak bonus for the Xbox rewards getting me 2500pts (100pts per week and 2500 every 10 week streak).

3 tasks, usually pretty easy to get over a week...

3 achievements - I get one daily already for 50pts

Did anyone manage to get Pillars of Eternity to complete? I’m still on 3/5 and it’s all I have left after just getting the 1000pts today anyway.

Yeh they daily quests for playing game pass and using the app aren't popping for me. Obvs tried the app a few times and a few different games but nothing

I was having the same problem late last night but this morning I logged onto the app and it gave me the playing game pass daily and also the Hotshot Racing weekly.

So perhaps it might just be being a bit slow since the new quests went live.

My daily’s are fine, we’re a little slow like a minute or two but all popped. Sometimes there isn’t any for a day or two at the end of a period before the Tuesday reset I think.

Small update for current rewards...

Sniper Elite I avoided achievements because I didn’t blow up the truck as stated I just shot people around the map. Complete accident haha

Mine craft I would recommend holding RT and targeting green/brown blocks (grass/dirt) as they’re quicker to break than the grey concrete.

I ended up with an achievement as something started firing arrows at me so I killed it.

Final Fantasy seemed to taken more than 10 goblins unless it was just slow to pop, I hadn’t died when it popped so may have been that the level or game hadn’t ended yet like some rewards need before popping.

The thing about these weekly quests is that you get a taste of a game and want to keep playing even though you already have more than enough on your plate. Sniper Elite felt great! Played it on xcloud to save the download for a few kills but now I want to play it...damn you Gamepass!!! Like everyone else my quests from last night all poped up this morning.

They were slow to pop for me yesterday as well but it is all good now.

@Krzzystuff Ive been playing Sniper Elite and I’ve started Star Wars but Cyberpunk just came out so that’s my main game at the moment.

I’m not sure if I’ve understood the Sims write up but I started a new game, skipping tutorial, randomised 3 characters, then it’s starts with no house. I clicked fast forward along the bottom for about 2mins and was done, no achievements.

Yep, Sims 4 didnt pop any cheevos for me. I started new game, picked an empty lot, built a room with a door and bought a kitchen counter and a coffee machine and kept making the sim brew coffee and drink. Didn't take long

@FraserG Big downloads so I’ve not finished either, but I’m pretty sure we’ve had the Batman one before and you just went to ground level and there were groups of thugs dotted about.

EDIT: Just took me about 10mins to complete, was some large groups of 8-10 on the ground plus a few groups of 4/5.

Hardest part of Dead by Daylight is getting a match... Literally 10-15 mins to find a lobby. My first game got a good hiding as well. Might actually leave this one...

@Beermonkey I’ve just started this, match took a few minutes to find but I got one heal and me and that person survived. Mainly running about other than hiding.

And as stated above, the ‘Medic’ achievement is now showing 1% of 100 heals

EDIT: Lasted less than a minute in 2nd game haha, the enemy changed to a fast moving ghost. First game was a much slower Mike Myers type.

EDIT 2: Played about 8 games and managed to get 3 full heals and reward popped instantly.

I didn’t find it too hard, it really depends on how good the person playing the bad guy is, or how lucky you are to avoid him.

Twice I managed to pick a couple of people off hooks and heal them, the first time I healed someone running about with me.

I’ve deleted the game instantly though as it’s horrible being chased haha

Mass Effect Andromeda can be done in MP. Start the tutorial mission and when it says to hack the device, go to the hacking area but them move away before the progress bar goes up. Then waves of enemies will spawn which will allow you to get the quest without unlocking any cheevos

I’m lucky that one of my mates is doing these now, otherwise how annoying is it that this week doesn’t have a reward to only open the game, got to play Madden online and I hate the game as much as I love NFL haha

I see they've done away with the mobile game pass quests. It stopped working for me a few days ago, straight after completing 1000pt monthly quest.

Also the Game Pass Games on the Go quest isn't registering for me. I've installed all the weekly and monthly games by the mobile app but they're not being ticked off.

Guide for Greedfall quest.
Start New game, you have to customise your character & then do a basic combat tutorial.
You then have to go to visit various places for the main quests until you're given a quest to find your cousin. When you go to the inn your will have to repair or pay for the damage before the innkeeper will tell you what happened to your cousin, go to quest marker until you get a cut-scene. Now save the game you will soon meet 4 enemies beat them, now reload your save and repeat.
It should take 10 - 15 minutes you can skip cut-scenes with Y or dialogue with B.

I had the same problem with the games on the go quest until I used the Game Pass Beta app.

Yeah they’ve removed the Login To App 5pts but they’ve reduced the 1000pt requirements.

Not sure about the ducks in The Hunter, maybe it was because my game started in the dark. I managed to sneak up on a rabbit this time, however I also got 5 different achievements in the space of an hour while at first chasing after some elk or something but never killing one.

Greedfall when you start turn right and walk to the end. It’s West you’re travelling in then the alley is on the right at the end. It auto saves when you’re first outside so just pause and click load.

Human Fall Flat is easy as above.

Terraria is also easy but I find when it gets dark I just restart it as the zombies are annoying.

Daily app login is back, shame these weeks two games are massive downloads again though.

Never thought I’d have to download Fifa 20 ever again. If you’re still struggling on easy and with two controllers connected you can change setting to have 100 accuracy and 0 AI goalkeeping etc.
Also if you don’t want any achievements you might be best of quitting the game before getting first win and try not to score with a defender.

EDIT: I can confirm scoring in Volta works once the game hits Ready To Start. I’d scored a second when it popped, just a short delay.

For Witcher I’ve started following the above but when I first clicked Simulate Save Off it’s said ‘Please wait for game content’. There’s a new loading bar in game for a minute or two and the game has started on 34%. I had no options to skip anything and after racing the kid was in a fight tutorial but could draw my sword. Gonna let it completely download over night and try again.

EDIT 2: Restarted it once fully downloaded as I couldn’t draw my sword and all the skip options were there and I completed the reward.

Additional hints about Dishonored 2 this week:

• You can actually do it with less reloading, there is a 2nd guard who is walking away that you can kill as he is going down the stairs, getting you two kills per reload.
• There are two super-easy achievements here. One you can get if you keep reloading the same save you use to finish the quest. If you hit 20 stealth kills, you get an achievement (doing 2 at a time, you need to do it 10 times - took me about 3 minutes on a Series X). Then, if you proceed down the stairs and follow the quest marker to the Throne room, you can easily kill the 3 guys there (though not stealthy). Loot the guy in red and getting your ring back from him will also trigger an achievement. Two achievements and a weekly quest done in 10 minutes.

Last month I could compleet achievements while playing the games that were available on pc, on my pc.
I played greedfall and know I killed more then 15 people. tried Human fall Flat, not regististering the 500m quest. Walked 1km for the achievement, it did register that with the achievement quest, but the 500m walk quest is still open. Now even starting a game seems not to register the daily quest. Anyone else experiencing this problem of did they change something?

@Fjordjuh None of the Game Pass reward quests are working for me this week, apart from the one for logging into the app. A similar thing happened a few weeks ago, except every quest APART from the logging in one would work. After a few days the quest stopped appearing, then came back.

Yeah, the playing the daily Game Pass game and starting Control quests ain't popping for me. Logging into the mobile app and download 5 games by app did pop for me though.

Working now.

I started to play Carrion and it didn't pop the daily Game Pass quest either. But as soon as I unlocked an in-game achievement it triggered the weekly achievement quest, plus the others, including the Control one. Weird.

Anyone needing easy game pass achievements should download Lonely Mountains Downhill. There is a bug where you press A to start and 3 achievements unlock automatically.

@count_midge I just find a game that has about 50 achievements and is relatively easy to hit 1000GS. And for when the 10k challenge comes up I fly through others.

I’m playing other games like Project Cars and COD and if an achievement pops that’s my daily done, if it hits about 11pm without one I’ll load up my easy game.

Made room for Battlefield 1 for the 4x points quest. Feeling shooters at the moment so I'll play through the campaign and some multiplayer and see if i keep it on the Xbox afterwards. I'm saving up the points for either the new headset if the reviews are good or that memory card if it drops in price and increases in storage. I'd like a 2TB at least.

I think Battlefield is gonna be a tough one, and the size of the download I might even give it a miss 😕

Injustice was really easy - you can even do those auto-play multiplayer matches and they count.

Will be interested to see the guide for We Happy Few - I already had the game on my system, but hadn't gotten around to playing yet. I booted it up and tried to do it in Sandbox mode (the only way I could find to start with a weapon) and after killing 100 folks, I realized it wasn't gonna trigger that way. Was fun running around electrocuting everyone, though, LOL.

EDIT: I got the We Happy Few one to pop with the new guide posted, using "the night watch" mode, but just to add - you have to FIND a weapon since you don't start with one. I just ran around until I found a shovel on someone's doorstep and stole it.

Go into a phone booth and you will get a nightstick, kill a bunch of people with it and quest should pop.

Another person commented that you actually start as a bobby (police) and should be able to press RB to equip the nightstick without having to enter a phone booth

@unionjackboy i was going to skip it also but since I've been on a shooter kick i just made room for it. Unlimited internet so I can always redownload other games as needed. Come on 2TB expension cards on super stupid sale!!! Really would like one.... maybe one day

For Injustice2, I found it easier to go into 'Extras', then 'Options' and change the round length to 60 and rounds to 1 (makes matches quicker). Then go into single player and single fight. Choose any fighters but select very hard for difficulty

You can just allow yourself to be beaten up very quickly. Also helps to avoid the achievement for not being hit for 10 seconds if you wish to avoid popping one

Edit: just keep choosing retry after each match until you've completed 10

You should be including the quests on the xbox's rewards app. Seeing as how they offer thousands a month (some paid for but some without).

I chose the recommended game mode (rush) from the server list, played one game and identified the best squad and then joined that squad for the next game.

The quest didn't pop initially when I was in the best squad but after going in and out of the game pass app a few times it eventually did

@ralphdibny cheers for that, I’ve actually gone and gotten it in first battle as attackers, plus I think I joined half way into it.

Also for injustice I got an achievement for not being hit in first 10 seconds if people are trying to avoid that.

@unionjackboy nice one! Glad it was of some help to you. I played one game of battlefield 1 the other day, it took like half an hour and I was ready to just give up on that quest after that. I'm glad I found that guide though because it allowed me to get the quest in like 20 minutes last night. Probably not worth it for 20 pence worth of points but it contributes to the quest completionist 1000 points so I thought I'd better give it a go!

@ralphdibny haha I try not to think of the actual value of each quest, just have my £25 gift card goal to aim for and 200pts is a nice boost towards it. This last week we’ve had the Comic Relief 1k and monthly 2k as well

Nier if you turn on the auto stuff it literally plays the game for you 😂 Reward popped before you go to ground but I played on through the level for the daily achievement to pop as well.

These are the weeks I love! Easy and fun. Love any chance to go back to Gotham, so that's my favorite 200pts so far.

Max was pretty easy - the platforming is fun, but the drawing thing really turned me off. Felt way too Wii for me, LOL. Still, glad to try out the game, and tiny download.

Also very easy achievement for anyone who needs it for the weekly - you just need to "draw" 25 times. Since you can keep destroying and redrawing the same object, I just did this after the Weekly Quest popped to the next object I saw. I had already done like 16 just getting that far - drew, destroyed, repeated 9 more times and the achievement popped.

I'm unable to launch DG Inquisition on xcloud... really don't want to download a game just for a quick quest.

I literally just booted up Ryse, clicked continue campaign on my completed save. It loaded up one of the end game cutscenes I guess and the quest popped immediately

@Krzzystuff Dragon Age has "ready to start" and you can actually play the game and get the quest before it's fully installed. The trade off is that you can't skip the cut scenes while it's installing

So this month I took the plunge and signed up with the Gamepass quests. I joined afew days ago and completed some things. I was confused why the Daily quests didn't refresh, then I noticed everything, months and weekly had vanished too. This guide should help me make the most of this month's challenges. Love Enter the Gungeon's quest. I'd never played it and had an absolute blast!

2 quick questions, if I may. 1) I assume the daily quests do reset daily!?

2) Is it realistic to aim for 12,000 points in a month? (I'm looking at Gamepass Ultimate sub).

2) It very realistic to get 12'000 points in a month. Takes me 7-8 weeks to get 35'000 points for 3 months Gamepass ultimate. This is Gamepass quests, rewards on Xbox & mobile/website

Anyone noticed on the Home Screen it has ‘Earn 2X Points. Get Rewards’. It takes you to the quests page but nothing has changed. I just did the PUBG reward to test it and only got 150 not 300 🤷🏻‍♂️

If anyone already has a save for Elder Scrolls (not sure why I had one, probably a previous reward).

All I did was open my map and took note of the name of the area ‘Astro’s M’Kai’ (I thought I was on the ship mentioned above but wasn’t. Then I googled the map and Shards and there’s 3 located on that specific map.

Madden is exactly the same as last time to play an exhibition, online head to head, then after kick off pause it and concede game.

Also when I download the reward games I tend to locate them on the rewards app on Xbox and it’ll download the right version. In the first week I’ll use the mobile app to get the Games on the Go reward.

Quite impressed with the Halo5 weekly challenge this week using xclould on my ipad. Manage to get all the kills needed in one game of DirftBall and with no lag or input delay. X cloud is so much easier than downloading halo again

The Plants vs Zombies quest is easy, just jump into multiplayer, pick a side and kill 3 opponents, you don't have to finish the game just quit after the 3 kills. Which is good because the game I was in was very empty.

I didn't have any problems with State of Decay quest, but I did wait a few days to do it after I heard about issues.

The only one I have left is The Evil Within. I'm gonna wait late in the month when I've got more time to play the whole game.

I've noticed a few of the guides state that no achievements are unlocked. Is that significant, or do people just not want a single achievement for a game they are only playing for the rewards?

The X/S version of MLB works. Popped as it was loading (I have set up my options previously but never created a player)

Tip for FIFA quest this week:

Start the game when it's "ready to play", it will throw you into a game between PSG and Liverpool (I think?)

Press Menu to pause go to game settings. Press RT until you get to "user gameplay customisation". Use the left stick and d pad simultaneously to adjust these settings quicker... Put sprint speed, acceleration, pass speed, goalkeeper ability, positioning marking, positioning run frequency, fullback positioning and power bar up to maximum for user. Put shot error, pass error and first touch control error down to minimum. Press RT again and use the opposite settings for the CPU gameplay customisation.

Play this first match and when you have the ball, use RT to run to the opponent's goal. Let go of RT and hold LB and RB and press B to shoot and you should score. Do this 5 times, quest pops, cancel your FIFA 21 download!

Wow, descenders is such a relaxing game! I think I will leave this one installed to dip in and out of.

Just a heads up, the quest won't track until you finish your career. Once you have 10,000 rep in your current career, just lose all your lives to end it and the quest and achievement will pop. Or just keep playing until you lose your lives naturally as I did because it is a decent game!

The human fall flat isn't tracking for me. MLB popped instantly, but this is showing no progress after an hour of playing. Anybody else having trouble with this?

Quantum Break can be done before the game fully installs. You also get an achievement playing through to the first gun battle.

Some huge downloads again on every game but all pretty easy to complete, although For Honor took me a few games.

He also has a group on Xbox as well where you can message other players to do multiplayer games where you could arrange to stand still so someone else gets 3 kills then they do it for you etc

In the rewards app there is a State of Decay rewards quest. It requires to activate the punchcard then earn 1 of 3 specific achievements. All I did was reset the map which popped The Forest for the Trees achievement, which wasn't one of the three, and claimed the 500 points on offer. Not sure why it worked but it did.

Anyone else having problems with For Honor on Cloud? Window pops up with the info that I need to be logged into a Ubisoft account and when I press OK it throws a fit and tells me I can't open the MS store while playing remotely.

Hint for the Grounded one: You don't need to let your stamina totally rebuild before you start using it again. Once I realized this, I just kept mashing on the RT against a plant over and over. This way, as soon as the meter starts to refresh, you are spending it, triggering the achievement. Took about 3 minutes once I figured this out.

If you've finished Ryse Son of Rome, it's easy to get 35 kills by booting up the final level. You just shoot people with the big arrow thing instead of relearning all the combat stuff!

@unionjackboy no worries! Can you use the xCloud anywhere like on the app? It's gota be the easiest way for the "start the game" quests. That's if the game is cloud enabled. But yeah, don't have to put up with any lag if you are not actually Gona play the game

I do love a cloud-enabled "Start the Game" quest. Got the Halo one yesterday at work through the web browser. It even let me launch the game despite warning about a lack of controller.

The SoD2 recruit 2 survivors isn't tracking for me yet. Forza neither. Got a month so no worries there.

Sniper Elite 4 you can get the 2 ghost kills in a new game playing the tutorial. When climbing the ladder knife the soldier, then tag the two soldiers and pulley above them, then shoot the pulley. Done.

@WCB my SoD is tracking. Started a new game, follow the missions to get a new base killing a couple of zombies. Then next mission some be scavenging. Then head to help new recruits and kill a couple more zombies and collect the plague samples. Hand them over and when talking click to recruit the member.

Repeat this twice… even though there were 3 people where I went it only recruited one of them due to not having enough points.

@dAvecaster I did put a Windows partition on my Mac but in general, it's more of a ballache for me to switch on my Mac, swap cables around, use mouse and keyboard, pair a controller etc. Than it is for me to switch on my Xbox and just be ready to go

Yep, can confirm that the GP quest works on the PC version. It popped after opening the game before I even did the 127gig download. It's downloading properly now so I can get an achievement for the punch card

Yep, the Steep quest popped for me as soon as the game started, just downloaded the first ready to play portion and immediately cancelled. Nice.

Using xCloud for Resi 7 and having my save ready to go is so good. The image quality wasn't very good, maybe due to my internet, but it only took a minute anyway. Quick and easy without waiting for it to download.

I'm raging about this as played back 4 blood yesterday and got like 5 achievements now this quest is asking for 3! If have not played yet its easy to pop loads in first run. Also works in cloud

Forza one not tracking in the early access at the moment but the game throws achievements at you so getting 3 shouldn't be difficult.

This Quest will not be completable until Forza Horizon 5 launches on November 9th.

Xcloud is now available through you Xbox. If you go to Settings, Updates, then at the top it’ll load the latest update. Taken me about 30mins then it’s on the home page.

Of course I’d already downloaded Conan after it wouldn’t play on my phone very well 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Man. With the addition of cloud gaming, hitting those weekly gamepass quests are a cinch. No need to download anything, just load up the cloud version, boom unlocked.

Just a heads up, It Takes Two is available through Cloud Gaming after all.

To complete the What Remains of Edith Finch quest you have to play the game until the first 'dream' sequence. You take control of a bird and have catch a rabbit. Pretty simple stuff and if you go straight for it should take no more than 15 mins. I think the bedroom you need is up the stairs to the right and accessed via a crawl space in the opposite room. I could be wrong though, this is from memory 😅

FM22 can be loaded up with the cloud

Edith you need to play through for about 10mins, also on cloud. Pretty easy game to complete so no spoilers, but just follow the pretty straight forward route until the strange stuff starts happening haha

@SacredPYRO You are legit spot on with that. It legit took me 5-10 mins for the first dream sequence.

These latest quests are really easy to do. Max time it will take is about an hour depending on your download speed. The mirrors edge game i recommend just finding a wall and running back and forth haha. Easy stuff XD

They nerfed the gamepass rewards points this month. I'm only getting 3 points vs 5 for the dailys abd now there's also just one daily quest....so 3 vs 10.

It's still a great program but that's a sneaky change

@Krzzystuff they also reduced the amount of quests needed to get the monthly 1000.

@thatCFguy yeah. But just in general im getting likely around 500 less points every month. It's just over $5 a year and I'll still be getting s tin of free cash each year. Was just surprised that no one mentioned the change.

@Krzzystuff just logged on myself to do the quests and noticed the changes. They have also removed the Install 5 Games Via the App (25 points I think) and Play 10 Games (Again I think 25 points). There is only 1 weekly game related quest as well so there is another 25/50 points lost.

@SacredPYRO yeah. Might be upwards of 1K points less per month.

Side note i found out that the yanks get upwards of 600 points a day for the PC and mobile searches and daily sets where i get under 250 points daily.... damn

@Krzzystuff We're still losing plenty of points as well since they took away the daily quest for logging in to the Game Pass mobile app, so along with that and dropping the Play a Game Pass Game from 5 to 3 (seriously, really, 2 points a day breaks them?), that will be 7 points a day lost, which is anywhere from 210 to 217 a month (except February), and well over 2000 points lost a year.

Like you said, it's still good, but there's no reason to downgrade their biggest strength over PlayStation. Yes, I realize they don't have to do Rewards at all, but downgrading their biggest strength regardless (Game Pass) isn't very ideal.

Bit of a weird challenge for Dishonoured - play the game badly!

Couple of things. My goodness have they ruined plants vs zombies haha. Number 2 is garbage. Secondly it's pretty much dead right now. Going to try and do it other times but right now it's DEAD for obvious reasons.

I managed to get a game in mixed mode, not many players though. Then it unlocked at the end of the match.

Is the Easter egg bonus quest thing actually working yet? I started Fable 3 (it was on the list anyway) & I've popped a few achievements but it's not registering

@Kopite worked for me and a few others from the comments section of the original article. Maybe try another game? Streets of Rage and Human Fall Flat have quick achievements if you haven't already done them

Did they nerf the quests again? Seems like the weekly quests are a bit lower than last week.

Im a newly returned Xbox gamer. The reward system is mad. Doing game pass quests and the daily Microsoft portal tasks has accumulated me 11k points in just over two weeks. Love it.

how do i see xbox game pass quests? I tried to look at profile, xbox game pass app and microsoft rewards, it just doesn't show up

I usually use my gamepass app on my phone but they are on the Xbox GP app if you just scroll down a bit.

Final Fantasy XIII weekly quest isn't unlocking if we play on PC.

The August monthly quest for Terraria is bugged, I've mined way more than I need for the quest to pop but it hasn't popped.

Always good to have a game pop up on these that you had just downloaded anyway (Turtles).

The best way to earn points is to use the Microsoft Rewards on Xbox app and the Bing search app on your phone once a day to run through a bunch of news headlines, plus the https://rewards.microsoft.com/ site. At first I was only completing the quests on this page, but I've saved up around 45k points the last 4-ish months by spending 10 minutes a day doing these steps. I'm to buy a second controller purely with points!

Well I'm officially playing through all of broken age now lol. It was on my play later list and I'm really enjoying it. I didn't do last weeks Dishonoured 2 quest so I won't be committing to all the weekly quests but hoping to do at least 3 of the 250 point quests if possible to rack them points up.

@Welsh_Will i'm gaming for free from here on in as my current 2 years of GPU is all from rewards points. I put $120 towards my headset and used at least $30 for Xbox credit in the past 2 years as well all from just doing the searches and GPU quests.

@FraserG I can confirm skylines points as 250 not 25. Think Microsoft rewards team are having a bit of a mare at the moment. Can also confirm no points for res evil 4 purchase. Will see if that changes tomorrow before messaging customer services again.

Oof, that Earn 20,000 Reputation one might be a skip for me. I'm trash at such games so it'd definitely take over an hour for me, and I'm not sure 250 Points is worth that amount of time plus being in a less than good mood. At least the Garden warfare 2 one was quick. Took longer to boot the game.

I played Descenders before so was halfway there. I actually enjoyed it far more than I remembered so it's getting downloaded as I write this.

I can't even be asked with them quests. I just play the game I wanna play and turn it off. I rarely use the xbox. But only using now to play ni no kuni ii.

I've given up with quests and punchcards. There's been so many recently where they don't register and I don't get my points.

@FraserG useful as always. Just noticed on the Xbox rewards app, and I'm pretty certain this is new, they have a month's game pass for 10500 points using auto renew. That's a decent saving for anyone using reward points to pay for game pass.

Not one but two, and potentially three if you do it differently, unavoidable Achievements for the Soul Hackers 2 one is not what I wanted to hear...

Does anyone have that ability to buy GPU gift cards with rewards points or is it out globally? I know they put the 1 month cards back as an option a few weeks ago but it was actually 3 month codes so they took em down again.
