Earlier this week, NetherRealm Studios gave fans a first look at the Jean-Claude Van Damme Johnny Cage skin for Mortal Kombat 1. Now, in an update, the official trailer has been released.

Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon mentions how the famous fighting series originally tried to get the actor and martial artist when it started out, and now it has come "full circle" after 30 years. You can see the trailer in higher quality via YouTube.

If you want to play as Jean-Claude Van Damme in this upcoming release, you'll need to pre-order the premium edition of the game. This anticipated release launches later this month on 19th September. Earlier this week, a separate Mortal Kombat 1 trailer revealed the actress Megan Fox would be voicing the Outworld vampire Nitara:
